EXTRICATION
Despite having no
highways in our territory, the Vigilant Fire Company is
extremely knowledgeable when it comes to using the
extrication equipment commonly known as the “Jaws of
life.” We practice our extrication techniques multiple
times a year and always stay on the forefront of
extrication technology and information. Many Vigilant
members have been recipients of the “Green Cross” given
by Hurst for using their products for successful
extrications. The pictures below show 1st
Assistant Chief MacDonald assisted by Captains Forst and
Jacobs teaching extrication techniques to a large cross
section of the membership.
