First Assistant Chief Laurence Jacobs is a sixteen year
member of the Vigilant Fire Company. He served as a
Lieutenant from 2002 - 2006 and a Captain from
2006-2007. He was elected First Assistant Chief in 2009.
Chief Jacobs has taken numerous training
courses outside of the firehouse to further his
technical rescue and fire suppression knowledge. Chief
Jacobs is an EMT, lifelong teacher and committed to
training the fire service so that the membership is best
positioned to serve our community.
